On The Way To Palo Alto

Well, our stay in sunny Southern California is over. And we are on our way to Palo Alto where we will be for another three months. Palo Alto is about 20 minutes south of San Francisco. Should be a lot of fun.

To get there we took the scenic Highway 1, also known as Pacific Coast Highway. It winds along the mountains with the ocean beneath. It is some of the most beautiful scenery you can see anywhere. And you probably have seen it in movies and postcards.

Here's what I mean:

Awesome isn't it? Now imagine 4-5 hours of this. But the road is a curvy mountain 2 lane road. One wrong turn and you get to go swimming. But it was very very beautiful.

On our way there, we stopped at the quaint city of Monterey. This little beach town is home to John Steinbeck's famous Cannery Row. Which by the way has now been turned into a tourist attraction. See? Anything can be turned into a tourist attraction. Even a bunch of old empty buildings .

Also in Monterey is a place all you golfers will recognize: Pebble Beach. Here's me pretending to be playing a hole.

We took this picture on Pebble Beach's 17 Mile Scenic Drive. Which by the way wasn't all the scenic except for about 3 miles or so by the water. After the drive up the coast this was no big deal especially since we had to pay $9 for the privilege of driving it. Here's Hina and the MortgageBrokerTraining.com Mobile at one of the lookouts.
